Direct Tooling Concepts, LLP (DTC) In October of 2018 Direct Wire Service LLP and Direct Tooling Concepts INC combined assets and became one business named Direct Tooling Concepts, LLP. For more information, view our notice here.  The scope of our business has become design, design and build of new tooling, build of new tooling, job shop services, and CNC production machining. Our growth has been possible because of the loyalty of our customers and the faith they have in our ability to meet their needs along with the dedicated team of employees we have assembled. In September of 2023 DTC began construction on an 8,000 sq. ft. addition.  This addition increases the floor space available to DTC up to 20,000 sq. ft.  Spreading out, moving inventory back from leased floor space and adding machine tools plus employees all part of the plan for 2024.

Direct Tooling Concepts, Inc. (DTC) was established in 1994 by owner Dave Berger in Versailles, Ohio as a sub-contract design source. DTC originally supplied progressive die designs along with stage/hand fed dies using AutoCAD 2D software. Today DTC uses Solid Works (3D CAD software) as its primary software and also Inventor or AutoCAD. DTC now supplies machining and welding fixture design, gages, fixture for automated/robotic cells along with dies to be used in traditional stamping plants and dies to be used in automated cells.

Direct Wire Service LLP (DWS) began as a partnership by Eric Barlage and Dave Berger in Versailles Ohio in 2001 and as an extension of Direct Tooling Concepts. Its first piece of equipment being a wire EDM machine used to manufacture tooling designed for the customers of DTC. As the business grew, it first expanded to additional leased space in Versailles and then in 2006 all operations were consolidated into a new 6000 sq. ft. facility at its current location on Subler Drive. In 2015, to accommodate additional growth, DWS doubled the size of its facility to 12,000 sq. ft.
